Customer Testimonials

We were interested in a borehole because we are keen gardeners and have lost plants in previous years when hose-pipe bans were introduced. We live on top of the Downs near Canterbury and were concerned about the costs of a borehole when the water was likely to be 60 meters below ground. In the end it couldn't have been simpler. Mr Carpenter arrived, set up his rig, drilled the borehole and left within a week. His quote was very competitive the total cost to me being one third of the cost quoted by the next cheapest company. We now have a bore hole that delivers 40 litres of pure water a minute anywhere around the garden. We are really pleased with Mr Carpenter's advice, work and the success of the enterprise. I have no hesitation in recommending both a borehole and Mr Carpenter to dig it.

We were at a loss as to why our borehole pump was not functioning. We found Mark and his team on the website and have never looked back! Mark was reliable, punctual and extremely thorough in assessing our problem, and then provided a first class service,at a reasonable price to recommend and provide a new pump to get us back up and running again. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much...

Following the complete failure of our mains water supply, we decided to have our own borehole installed.
I found Borehole-Driller on the Internet and contacted them. They were very helpful and explained the process, the issues and costs involved. I engaged them for the job and we agreed a start date.
From that point on, the job went very smoothly. They set up their rig, bored the well, lined it and fitted the pump over about six working days. It was great to see our own water flowing from the well, with more volume and pressure than we ever had from the mains.
They are a friendly and competent team and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Problem solved!!

As you know the Chartham Youth Gardens is a fledgling effort to enable the youth from our village to use their energy growing vegatables and fruit for themselves and their families. You met our patron Rev. Phil Brown and you join a small group of supporters of the gardens starting with Network Rail who generously lease the land to us, and donors of a rotovator and other gardening equipment.
However your generous provision of your time and your expert services in drilling and equipping the borehole will be a major influence in our community project, for which a water supply is essential for its success.
I wish to emphasise my appreciation for your expertise that was so very apparent in efficiently drilling the borehole, placing the slotted casing and gravel pack with the bentonite seal, and then placing the pump and well head to national standards.
We shall count on you and Gary as friends of the gardens and as a small token of our appreciation we enclose a CD of a series of photographs of your work culminating in the Borehole-Driller Borehole.
Very sincere thanks and warm regards,

 Simon Hickman. Chartham, Kent.

We have a fairly large property and were concerned at the potential impact the recent hose pipe ban would have on the plants and shrubs in our garden.  I had been considering putting in a borehole for several years so contacted a number of borehole companies in order to determine the feasibility and costs.  Not only did Mark provide me with the most competitive quote, but he was able to advise me on the availability of water in my area without the need for an expensive survey.  Once I had decided to use Borehole-Driller, Mark and his son arrived on site within a week and were finished a week later.  The property has been left in the same condition that it was before the work started bar a new manhole cover in the grass.  Mark delivered on time, on quote, and kept me informed of progress at all times – he even installed the pipes and taps around the garden for me.  The borehole meets and exceeds my expectations and I have no hesitation in recommending Borehole-Driller to anyone that is considering installing a borehole in their property.

Have just used this company to provide a drainage borehole and have found them very competent in all aspects of the work they carried out. They arrived on time each day and worked very professionally. I was kept advised of each stage they were at, the job was completed on time to a very good spec. I would recommend Mark and Gary to anyone requiring this service at a sensible price. You will not be disappointed.

I had read a lot about boreholes, both on the internet and in articles in the press
Having a large garden and following last years temporary drought order I finally decided in May to seriously look into the logistics and cost of having one installed
I contacted Mark from Borehole-driller and arranged a site meeting … prior to that I read all on his extremely informative website
Everything was explained, a very reasonable price agreed  and a date for starting set
The whole process took 5 days  and at the end there was no visible sight of any ground works whatsoever
Mark and son Gary even helped (which was not in the contract) with the laying of the pipes down the garden
The water pressure is excellent and the end result makes the irrigation of our large garden much quicker and easier
An excellent, knowledgeable and friendly team that I heartily recommend.

I  live in a village called Hannington in North Hampshire, the village doesn’t have main drainage and for several years suffer with bad drainage for our septic tank. The ground conditions are of heavy clay and flint which meant that we could never get a good drainage from any basic dug soakaway at a cost of £2.5K a time every 2 /3 years !
After taking advice,  it was suggested that an answer might be a bore hole soakaway , something I had not considered before but made sense once I understood the ground condition’s on a larger scale. I contacted the Environmental Agency and got a lot of help from them and applied for a permit , all very straight forward and simple.
As we all do , I went to get quotes. I  got 6 quotes, a couple from local companies but mostly from bigger drilling companies. All the quotes were high , I think they thought we were a cash dispenser , in addition by now I had a little more knowledge and some of the things I was being told was rubbish.
At this point I was just about giving up the idea,  by chance Mr. Google led me to Mark Carpenter of Borehole Driller.
I found the web site very instructive and asked Mark to quote which he did within a few days (I waited weeks for companies to bother). He advised me on the construction of the bore hole soak away and because we would be using a treatment plant now rather than a septic tank sorted out at a very reasonable cost a simple filter system so the bore hole would not get any unwanted stuff down it !
Installation was done by two guys and took 2 ½ days , one being Mark's son, both were very knowable , polite and kept me informed on what they were doing whilst drilling our 20metre bore hole. The job was finished, our bore hole was tested, our garden tided up and the site was ready for the treatment plant to be installed.
The cost was a least half of that of 5 of companies that quoted out of the 6 I received  , I went for Borehole driller not because just for price but because of their clear experience in the business and straight forward approach.
I would recommend Mark and his team , they take an individual approach to your job , they don’t over charge or have any hidden charges ,and you can tell they take pride in their work. They were far more knowable than any other company I came across.
I am more than happy to recommend Borehole Driller and you are welcome to speak to me directly should you want to.

Dear Mark,
My thanks to you , Gary and Karl for the bore hole. The work was finished today and everything has gone smoothly .  Gary and Karl were very considerate during the process and it was a pleasure to have them on site. Please also thank Gary for thinking through the aesthetics and explaining the works.

It has taken a while from the initial enquiry to completion . Your patience , advice and reassurance has been much appreciated and I am very pleased with the outcome.

My best wishes to you all and thank you again

We live in a very rural place with no access to mains water. When we bought the house 15 years ago, one of its charms was its wonderfully clear, free water, supplied by a bore hole in the garden.
We had known for sometime, that due to the fluctuating water table, that our borehole was no longer deep enough at 60 metres to sustain the water supply we would need going forward.
So after researching various companies and collecting competitive quotes, we agreed the job with Gary.
From the outset he stood out from all the other companies. He showed great knowledge of the
process, geology of the area and how to work sympathetically with the landscape. He has a very approachable manner and was patient with our endless questions.
So we decided to bore down to a level of 92 metres and then line the whole well (as it had not been lined previously). He then installed a new well head. ( add any tech stuff here you think).
He and his colleague Carl took great care to to return the landscape back to the way it was. In fact better than before. Throughout, they were both a joy to have on site. Extremely hard working, precise and trustworthy.
My husband and I would have no hesitation to recommend Gary. We are extremely happy with our borehole now.

After receiving a quote that was far above what we were expecting we were fortunate that someone suggested that we contact Mark. He came back very promptly with a much more attractive quote and we agreed to go ahead. Very clear instructions were provided around what we needed to do prior to commencement which meant that when the team arrived they were able to get started immediately.

Gary and Carl have just finished our borehole after a week and a half and we are delighted with the outcome. Ultimately they did need to go a little deeper than Mark had quoted but Gary explained everything as they went along and clearly demonstrated why this was necessary. The result was just what we had hoped for and we had no complaints about the whole experience.

The team are extremely professional , very pleasant to engage with and we would recommend them unreservedly “

I got in contact with borehole-driller.co.uk for advice on extracting water from our deep well, after contacting several other companies who had given me the completely wrong advice.

I spoke to Gary who did know exactly what he was talking about!

I cannot thank you enough for the sound advise and top class workmanship you and your company offer. Seeing the job through from start to finish quickly and efficiently.Fitting a borehole pump and 400 meters of pipe work to fill a very large pond.

A totally trustworthy company.

Many thanks
